Megan Logan, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Author of the "Self-Love Workbook For Women: Release Self-Doubt, Build Self-Compassion, and Embrace Who You Are" |
A native of Annapolis, Maryland, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from James Madison University in Virginia with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and a minor in Family Issues (1998). I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from The Florida State University (2000).
For more than 26 years, I have developed strong clinical skills providing therapy in a variety of mental health settings, including domestic violence and sexual assault centers, foster care agencies, community-based mental health programs, hospice, and private practice, where I have worked for the past 15 years. While experience is essential in providing quality therapy, so is connection. Clients often describe me as easy to talk to, down to earth, and compassionate..With an open-mind, great sense of humor, warmth, and authenticity, I quickly connect with clients, allowing them to feel safe, understood, and supported. I also have a special gift in working with children and teenagers. In 2020, I wrote the bestselling Self-Love Workbook for Women (2020) which has been translated into 18 languages and continues to be the book readers know me for. I later published Be Kind to Yourself: A 52-Week Workbook to Nurture Your Beautiful Self through the Good Times, the Messy Times, and All the Seasons In Between (2022) — a deeper and more comprehensive workbook that reflects the heart of my work: Helping people build a kinder, more compassionate and insightful relationships with themselves through every season of life. My work has been recognized in the Chicago Tribune, Rolling Stone Magazine, Woman's World Magazine, and Elle Magazine UK. I also share my original and creative play therapy techniques as a contributing therapist in Liana Lowenstein’s book, Assessment and Treatment Activities for Children, Adolescents, and Families: Practitioners Share Their Most Effective Techniques (2010 and 2011, Vol 1 and 3). As a Qualified Supervisor, I enjoy providing clinical supervision to Masters level therapists working towards licensure. I have served as an affiliate clinician with Psychological Services of St. Augustine and was a founding member and former Secretary/Treasurer for the First Coast Chapter of the Florida Association for Play Therapy. Over the past 6 years, I have expanded my healing work to include becoming a certified Reiki Master and Crystal Sound Bowl Practitioner. I also enjoy facilitating an annual wellness retreat focused on mind, body, and spirit. When not providing therapy, I enjoy quiet time in nature, creating pottery, gathering with family and friends, and delighting in small pleasures. |
